POLICE VISIT TO SHARE A MESSAGE!

Officers from Strathclyde Police visited school recently to pass on helpful advice to pupils.

Strathclyde’s finest discussed issues surrounding substance and alcohol misuse with Primary 4-7 pupils.

The interactive workshop included a slideshow presentation, with a number of short films, that allowed officers to promote discussion with pupils about the dangers of substance and alcohol misuse.

Officers were able to answer many of the questions which were posed by pupils.

We would like to thank Strathclyde Police for their visit to Port Charlotte, and we look forward to seeing them in the future, for further health promotion activities.

    Strathclyde Fire Brigade Visit PCPS

On Tuesday 11th December, Bryan and Verina from Strathclyde Fire Brigade visited Port Charlotte Primary School.

They spoke to all children in the nursery, P1-3 and P4-7 classes.

They entertained the children through stories, films and quizzes to share information with them about safe use of electrical equipment, smoke alarms and the best places to fit them, Fire Escape Plans and how to get help from the emergency services.

One of the most popular attractions was the traffic light quiz, where children showed their answers to questions by holding up a green, amber or red light!

We would like to thank Strathclyde Fire Brigade for their visit!
