Parent Teacher Association

Port Charlotte's Parent Teacher Association was established in April 2007. It became a sub-committee of the Parent Council in November 2008.

Our aim is to continue to promote positive social and cultural links between parents, our community and school. We fund-raise to support our projects.

All parents are very supportive of the school, and can volunteer to become involved on the PTA Committee at any time.

BEETLEMANIA GRIPS PORT CHARLOTTE!!!

Parents, pupils and grandparents gathered in school recently to enjoy a Beetle Drive, organised by our Parent Teacher Association. Sadly, no John, Paul, Ringo or George lookalikes made it along!

Lots of fun was had by all, with many parents expressing a wish to join our PTA committee this session, to help organise future fun events!

BOOK BARGAINS BAGGED!

Our Parent Teacher Association organised a ‘Waterstones’ Book Fair’ on Saturday 15th November for pupils, parents and the people of Islay.

There was a fantastic range of books on offer, for both young and old.

The book fair was very well attended, with over 100 people coming along to peruse the books on sale.

Lots of people were able to pick up a bargain or two for Christmas.

Everyone enjoyed the delicious cakes and biscuits which were on sale to enjoy with a refreshing tea or coffee!
