Keep up to date with what's happening at Port Charlotte Primary School...

Our Playground

Our bike shelter was made before the summer holidays 2007. Pupils, who have passed  their cycling proficiency test, can cycle to school and store their bikes here. You can find out more about cycling proficiency, by clicking here, or if you want to find out more about Junior Road Safety Officers, click here.

The Port Charlotte Community Garden was made by our community, pupils, parents and BBC Beechgrove Garden in 2006. The Gardening Club keep it tidy and grow lots of vegetables from Easter to winter every year! Click here to find out more about how the garden was made or download the BBC Beechgrove Garden newsletter below!

Our school garden was developed along with the community garden when the Beechgrove Garden came to Port Charlotte. We plant a lot of different plants in it to encourage wildlife into it. We got some helpful tips from BBC’s Simon King when he visited Islay in June 2007. We also plan to start growing vegetables in spring 2008! The children look after it and help to keep it clean and tidy.
