Woodland Trust Christmas Card Recycle Scheme

Christmas Cards Recycled!!!

After Christmas, we worked with The Woodland Trust, Re-JIG (Recycle Jura and Islay Group) and Bowmore Primary School, to collect Christmas cards to re-cycle.

The Woodlands Trust plants new trees in place of the Christmas cards that we collected to recycle. We collected an amazing 4,330 cards (an average of 106 cards per pupil) which weighed 30kg in total.

Dave from Re-JIG collected the cards on Thursday 24th January 2008, to re-cycle them. Well done all pupils, parents and community members for collecting the Christmas cards, and helping us make a positive difference to our environment!
